A 20 page report with color and B & W images of the Two-Cent Patterns in the Durham Western Heritage Museum, Byron Reed collection. Detailed data of tests and measurements taken at various times. A note on the appearances of similar patterns.

Major observations:
The report details the composition of the billon 1836 patterns. The Original and Restrike while essentially billon; differ in the details.
The previous listing of 'Silver Plate', billon is shown to be a misleading statement. Placing doubt on other listings of 'Silver Plate'.
The original listing of (BR-P95) as Judd 307 (Oroide) has been proven to be Copper-Nickel (Judd 306).
